How we find the right cast every time

Our process shows you at a glance where we begin, which options can be added when needed and how you reach your favourites.

  1. How your casting starts

    Already have some Talents in mind? Then the Wishlist is the best place to start. Save your favourites there and send us your request with all the relevant details. Haven’t found the right Talent yet? Send us your requirements and we’ll put together a tailored selection for you!

  2. We expand the search when the project requires it

    Options include e-casting, live/video casting or street cast­ing. We can also pub­lish a cast­ing call.

  3. You receive a suitable selection

    You review the sug­gest­ed sed­cards, choose your fa­vour­ites and we co­or­di­nate avail­abil­ity and the next steps with you.

Internal Database Our published profiles and internal database form the basis of every search. Show details Hide details

JUST IN CAST has both an extensive internal database of professional artists from various sectors and a pool of amateurs and semi-professionals from a wide range of categories. Searching within our own database forms the starting point of all our casting projects.

E-Casting Selected favourites receive a briefing and submit their recording digitally. Show details Hide details

According to the client briefing, we create a casting call for different agencies in the relevant region, or nationally if desired. We compile a selection of applicants and send their sedcards to the client. The client selects applicants for e-casting and informs us how many e-castings they would like to receive for each role.

Facts: the complete e-casting package includes:

  • Collection of initial sedcard suggestions through calls to different agencies
  • Creation of a pre-selection of sedcards
  • Creation of guidelines for e-castings for selected applicants, including applicant briefing
  • Collection and sorting of incoming e-casting videos
  • Organisation and naming of videos for the client
  • Arranging and booking the client’s favourite applicants
Live / Video Casting We organise the selection, schedule, location and recording for the casting. Show details Hide details

Once we have received the client’s specifications, we put out an appropriate casting call to different regional agencies, or nationally if required. From the applications we receive, we create a pre-selection of sedcards and send them to our client. The client then selects their favourite applicants, whom we invite to a live casting.

  • Collection of applicants and creation of sedcard suggestions through calls to different agencies
  • Creation of a pre-selection of sedcards
  • Scheduling and coordination of castings with agencies and applicants
  • Organisation of casting locations / venues
  • Booking a casting director for the casting day(s)
  • Casting videos of applicants, including camera person and equipment
  • Editing, naming and upload of video material for the client
  • Arranging and booking the client’s favourite applicants
Classic Casting We source candidates and organise the schedule, coordination and a suitable location. Show details Hide details

In the course of one of our casting projects, we draw up a shortlist of candidates based on your specifications. The complete classic casting package includes both the sourcing of candidates and the scheduling, coordination and organisation of a suitable location. You can then select your favourite candidates from our shortlist.

Street Casting Our scouts search specifically for suitable new faces across Germany and internationally when required. Show details Hide details

Our flexible scouts take your wishes and ideas to the streets, nationally and, if necessary, internationally. In the street-casting process, our scouts track down the perfect new faces for your project. This type of casting is especially recommended for a targeted search for individual personalities, or as a supplement to classic casting.

Casting Calls We can additionally publish your search on our website, through our newsletter or on social media. Show details Hide details

We regularly publish our current casting projects and wanted ads on our website and give candidates the opportunity to submit a speculative application. In coordination with you, we can also use this option of our platform to reach possible candidates. This option is used exclusively as a supplement to the casting options listed above.
